"Find me a 4-pack of AA batteries I can get today near 78205."
That sentence is the whole shopping trip. No tabs, no filters, no store hopping. If you want to shop with an AI assistant, this is what it looks like when the assistant can see local shelves through JENNi.
How to shop with an AI assistant in one sentence
JENNi has a connection that AI assistants can use, called MCP, short for Model Context Protocol. Any assistant that supports it can connect to JENNi.
Once it's connected, you don't search so much as ask. The assistant turns your request into a search of the products on nearby shelves, then shows you the choices.
You can still shop on your own at shop.jennipro.com. Asking is the other door in, and for plenty of people it's the faster one.
What to include when you ask
A good request gives the assistant four things:
- The item. Be specific. "AA batteries" beats "batteries."
- The quantity. A 4-pack, two of them, one of each color.
- Your ZIP. A five-digit US ZIP code lets the assistant look at what's local to you.
- When you need it. "Today" is a useful word here.
For things that come in sizes, say the size. Sized goods are often listed one size per product, so "men's size 10 running socks" will do better than "socks."
Some examples:
- "Find two phone chargers for a USB-C phone, I want them today, ZIP 60614."
- "I need a size 6 kids' rain jacket in yellow, delivered, ZIP 30303."
- "Cheapest option for a 12-pack of paper towels near 98101."
How the assistant checks the shelves
Behind the scenes, the assistant searches for matching products in stock. Local delivery options come first, then ship-to-home fills in after.
When you pick one, it asks for the buying options for your ZIP and quantity. What comes back is the availability, the price, the delivery fee, the delivery promise and the total before tax.
Same day is only on the table when the delivery promise says "Get it today." If it doesn't, it isn't promised for today, and the assistant should tell you so. We also never promise same day when a store's hours are unknown.
Every offer reads "Delivered by JENNi." You're choosing the product, not a store.
Paying securely and tracking your order
You stay in control of the money.
There are two ways to pay. The assistant can give you a secure checkout link. You open it, review delivery, tax and the final total, and pay on that page. That page re-checks the current price and availability, and opening it doesn't charge you.
Some assistants can also check out in the chat. Even then, nothing is charged until you've approved the total. Payment uses a one-time token, never your card number, and card fields are refused outright.
After you order, you can track it. Your JENNi order page has a private order token. Share that with the assistant, and it can tell you the status, the estimated arrival when we have one, courier tracking and whether your card was charged.
Statuses run from placed and processing to out for delivery and delivered, plus a needs-attention state if something has gone wrong.
Try it tonight
Pick something small you actually need. Write the request the way you'd text a friend, with the item, the amount, your ZIP and the timing.
Or skip the assistant and go straight to shop.jennipro.com. Both paths lead to the same shelves.
